Big news for this summer has just crossed my desk here at Sex T-Rex HQ- this week we received confirmation of our attendance at FOUR (Count ’em) theatre/comedy festivals in the coming months.

Up first is a prime-tiome Saturday night slot at the nascent Ottawa Improv Festival produced by our good friends Insensitivity Training. IT has been the house improv team of Yuk Yuk’s Elgin Street location in Ottawa for years and has always been a generous host to us. Julian, Seann, and I will be there and I just found out last night that me and Vinny Francois (From Montreal Improv and absurdist improv duo Venezuela) will be debuting a new style that night as well. One month after our appearance at OIF, we’ll be jumping in the Seannmobile for a road trip to Boston where we’ll be appearing at the Improv Boston Geek Week Festival which runs April 27 to May 1. Check back here for our specific showtimes.

And then the big one: We’re proud to announce our acceptance into both the Montreal and Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festivals! We’ll be premiering a new show (probably) for seven nights at the Montreal Improv Theatre, then off to Ottawa for two brand-new, three-episode Callaghan! mini-series. We’ll be joined in Ottawa again by Insensitivity Training as our gracious venue hosts, as well as The Jeremy Birrell Show’s own Devon J. Hyland, hot on the heels of last summer’s critically-acclaimed Dale Beaner & The Turtle Boy.
